I feel like Ray Kinsella on a tractor rolling around his corn fields building a ballfield for an invisible team while no one else has a clue what he's doing. Everyone thought he was a little crazy - and I'm on my way there myself! So yes, that's exactly who I feel like.

As the amateur architect of this website, I absolutely have a plan. I do. But I took the calculated risk of installing a newly developed upgrade of the content management system we're using, and all of the extensions that give us the bells and whistles I want have not quite caught up. So here's what's pending as soon as the stable versions of the upgrades are released:

1. Member profile customization. The whole idea behind this is to replace MySpace for our kids/teens. They're going to want to use backgrounds and their own colors - and that's exactly what I want, too. So as soon as the upgrade is available - we'll have it here.

2. Groups. Since Groups are bedrock to the community we're trying to build here - allowing our users to arrange themselves and friends into Team, I hesitated even launching the site without this. But I've kept an eagle eye on the upgrade - which is still in beta testing - and I can't sit around waiting for it anymore.

3. Video. Same story. This is what I get for going with the newest-of-the-new versions.

4. Shop. I won't launch this until we've got cool stuff for your guys. This is a Phase 2 goal.

5. Classifieds. Phase 2.

6. Forums. These are actually in the works now. Should be available soon.
