Lousiana State Champs
13 and 14U Majors
I had the pleasure of watching the USSSA Louisiana State Championship for 13 and 14 Majors teams. I was there as a fan, because lord knows, I don't get enough youth baseball. And great baseball is just great baseball, no matter who ya are. I saw some really incredible kids battle through three swampy days of 98-degree heat in Carencro, Louisiana. The 14U teams went into extra innings in their championship before the Bullets finally emerged victorious. And the 13U Bullets team showed off fast bats and diving field plays to clinch another championship for Bullets Baseball! Did these Bullets rest on their hard-won laurels? Nope. They are hard at work preparing for their next arena of challenge: the USSSA Elite 24 World Series in Orlando, Florida. They will be joined by their young and tough compadres, the 9U Bullets, for the week-long challenge at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Congratulations, Bullet Baseball! And good luck at the Elite 24. Always remember, "The harder you work, the luckier you get!"
