Play was under controversy in California Community College baseball league. After a few weeks the runner was called safe and the game was finished. This play was the deciding factor of the game. It would have been the third out of the inning nearly sealing a three run lead in the bottom of the 8th. They had to start the game from that play two weeks later since it was overturned, with the runner being safe. They ended up losing the game when their pitcher gave up a base clearing double.
