Personal Statement

I love my family first and foremost. Then my country, and then this magical, maddening sport. I spend thousands of hours on the ballfield with my son - I don't like to miss a practice, much less a game! I hope that I am a source of inspiration for my son, not a source of aggravation. He told me a couple of years ago that he wanted to go "all the way" in baseball - he's shootin' for the stars. I promised him I'd help him for as long as his heart was in it, and as long as he gave 100%. We're still going strong. I am increasingly aware of the dwindling time I have left before my son leaves home - 4 years and counting. This time is precious and I treasure it fully. I'm thrilled that I get to share his hopes, dreams, trials, and accomplishments in this sport. I'd never trade a minute for anything else.
About Me

Freak Baseball Play!!! (Umpire)

Play was under controversy in California Community College baseball league. After a few weeks the runner was called safe and the game was finished. This play was the deciding factor of the game. It would have been the third out of the inning nearly sealing a three run lead in the bottom of the 8th. They had to start the game from that play two weeks later since it was overturned, with the runner being safe. They ended up losing the game when their pitcher gave up a base clearing double.
Hamilton Puts on Show at Home Run Derby

Josh Hamilton hit 28 home runs at this year\\\'s home run derby. That is a new record for a single round. Hamilton is finally living up to his all-star talent, after years of disappointment and drug abuse.

The Greatest Play In Baseball - Rick Monday Saves U.S. Flag

On April 25, 1976 at Dodger Stadium, Rick Monday of the Chicago Cubs, grabbed and secured the American flag from two muslims attempting to burn our flag in the middle of the playing field. It was an outstanding display of American Patriotism.
